The A-Engine is a Beat ’em up fighting game engine currently being developed by A-SuperLab and inspired by the famous brawler Little Fighter 2. The engine’s premise is to provide you as a developer with a clean environment in which you can code full-fledged brawlers with your favorite text editor, and its ultimate goal’s to achieve that while not bounding you to any limitations during the development.


A-script, the name of the coding language you will be coding your game with, is a custom scripting language with human-readable syntax that is quite similar to many Markup languages’, like XML, HTML, or if you’re familiar with forums, BBCode. In addition, A-script also allows for using registers¬† (variables you can modify), variables (variables you can’t modify) and functions in your code in case you need them.
